The People to People Student Travel Program started with the vision of President Eisenhower in 1956, imagining the world where young people of different countries would meet and get to know each other, fostering lasting peace and making a difference.  For more than 50 years, People to People have helped students in 5th through college discover the world while they discover their own capabilities-providing life-changing immersive experiences, meaningful connections, and the confidence to succeed in a global world.  Students have the opportunity to earn high school credit and optional college credits.

Savannah will be a sophomore, in the fall, at Clay High School, while also attending Shawnee State University.  Savannah has worked hard this past year earning her way by selling homemade goods, and she has received donations from local businesses, from the Women’s Fellowship of her church and many friends and family.  She would like to thank everyone who has helped her to complete her journey.
