The Clay Alumni Association honored retired Clay teacher, Rita Gahm, at their annual banquet.

The Clay School Legacy Fund awarded scholarships at the Clay Commencement held recently at Clay High School for the Clay Class of 2011. The Clay School Legacy Fund is a joint venture of the Clay Alumni Association and the Clay School System. There were 11 $1,000 scholarships, which were awarded this year to members of the Clay Class of 2011.

Annual Banquet Set for July 2011.

The Clay Alumni Association will hold their 2011 Alumni Banquet on Saturday, July 9, 2010.  This year’s banquet will be held at the American Legion on Court Street in Portsmouth.

The banquet will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner served at 6:30 p.m.  A brief meeting will be held at 8:00 p.m.  The balance of the evening will be for visiting with “ole” friends.

Tickets are $20.00 per person.  Please mail your request for tickets to Charles Leonard, 6978 Pearce Lane, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110.  If you wish, you may call 614-920-0691.  In Portsmouth, you may purchase tickets from Fred Reeder by calling 740-355-5318.  Make checks payable to the Clay Alumni Association.  Tickets will be held at the registration desk for your arrival on Saturday, July 9.
    

All Clay Alumni members and friends of Clay Schools are encouraged to send donations to the Clay Legacy Scholarship Fund.  Make checks payable to the Clay Alumni Association.

The Clay Alumni Association will hold its annual auction and sale on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Clay High School from 10:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m.  Chili, hot dogs, chips, and pop will be available.
